Help office with organizing and implementing special events such as spring & fall clean up, National Night Out, Volunteer Recognition reception, Back to School Picnic, Holiday Open House, Annual meeting, etc. Ability or willingness to actively recruit volunteers to participate in events. Also may assist the Executive director with occasional workshop that educate residents regarding energy efficiency, financial management, and neighborhood revitalization projects. Needs to be able to get along well with others, and be willing to learn about the neighborhood.
Commitment level: Various. From one hour per week, and up to 5 hours a week.
Help office with organizing and implementing business related activities for helping Eastside businesses establish a Business Association. Good phone voice, good communication skills, able to follow directions and assist director with canvassing the area to introduce the neighborhood Association to the businesses and document interest with establishing a business association. May be needed to help with developing a database of neighborhood businesses, and assisting the director with finding resources to assist area business development.
Commitment level – 2 to 5 hours a week
Recruit, attract, train and retain volunteers for the neighborhood association by directing them to opportunities that are of interest to them. Track volunteer hours and implement a volunteer appreciation program.
Commitment level: 5 to 10 hours a month (may need to do more during special events)
Volunteer one to two days a week assisting with developing and implementing a data system of eastside residents and businesses. Familiarity with Excel, and MS word needed along with the ability to produce labels from these programs.
Commitment level: 3 to 5 hours a month
